This reminds me of my ancient cat. She was the single kitten in her litter, no siblings. When she was about that age/size I gave her a plush tiger. She was barely bigger than it. To this day, 17 years later, whenever she gets upset or lonely, she pulls it out from wherever she hides it and plays with it. The only toy she ever cared for.
